Abstract
This study described the analysis, design and implementation of the “Post-it College Social
Network” is a web application which provides facility for faculty to various type of post like
important announcement, general notice, training and placement, assignments, college events etc.
Student will be notified by text messages for new post made by faculties. Students can give their
suggestion about problems or any type of difficulties in college via making post. Student post must
be approved by admin or faculties.

1.1.2 Project Definition
A “Post It – College Social Network” is a web application that establish link between
students and college and faculty of college. This web application provide facility to faculty of
college to send important notice, assignment and any post related to college and other educational
activity useful for student. It is also provides facility for student to provides text notification of
colleges like events, assignments, etc.
This web application also provide facilities to student upload query, question, and doubt in
system and if any student or faculty have answer then that person can give their answer as replay
of question.
1.2 Purpose
In now days in colleges all notice are attested in notice board this process is take some hard
work and waste of paper as well as waste of time. For solution this problem to make this process
and other activity of colleges online so lots of paper and time will be save.
“Post It – College Social Network” web application is provide facility to faculty to post
important notice and student can easily see this post via web application. Also this system provide
text message notification to student can actively regular about new events, and activity.
1.3 Scope
Our project will mostly use by student and faculties or educational person so ours project
very is useful at educational institute.

Weakness of current system
1) Student unaware of new activity in colleges.
? In current system student is aware about new activity and event organized in colleges.
2) Sometime waste of time and paper.
? Current system suffers from waste of paper and time because some time notice attached
in notice board and many place of colleges.
3) Faculty cannot make post document of large size.
? In current system when faculty want to send big file then problems occurs in file deliver
to student.
Requirement of new system
There is requirement of such platform that establish connection between student and
college or college’s faculties that provides facility to send post to student and student can read or
received post in efficient. Such platform provided by our application. Our application satisfying
the requirements of student and faculties.

2.2 Feasibility Study
What Is Feasibility?
Feasibility is the determination of whether project is worth doing. The process followed in
making this determination is called feasibility study.

A. Technical
Technical feasibility means the proposed solution can be implemented with the available
hardware, software and technical resource.
So the system is technically feasible while development phase because the solution of the
problem can be easily implemented in the present hardware and software environment.

B. Economical
Economic feasibility is to check whether the system is economically feasible or not. So,
after analyzing the proposed system we found many of tools and technology that is available on
market which can be used to create this type of system easily and without any cost.
In our cost analysis, we have found that the hardware ; software required for developing
the project are available and there is no need to buy any other so, after looking everything it is
clearly visible that the system is economic feasible.

C. Operational
The “Post It – College Social Network” System is easy to use. The user does not need any
costly training to operate this system. However, the new users must have computer operation
knowledge. As is common for any new software at the beginning things may appear a little
unfamiliar. But the system is gradually used it will be found to be quiet easy to operate. And the
user will become skilled in it automatically. That’s why this is operational feasible too.

D. Schedule
We analyses the duration for developing the website and test it will may take up to 12 months
we need to schedule the time for completing all the related tasks for creating the user friendly and
user convenient website with good user interface.

2.3 Project Planning

2.3.1 Project Development Model
For the project development we chosen the incremental model. The incremental model is an
evolutionary software process model that couples the iterative nature of prototyping with the
controlled and systematic aspects of the linear sequential model.
It provides the potential for rapid development of incremental versions of the software.
Using the incremental model, software is developed in a series of incremental releases. An
incremental model is divided into a number of framework activities.
We have completed our project by increments as listed below:

Core Application The basic functionalities we have approached are to analysis our
project.

Increment 1 We have implemented form designing modules as our first increment.
Increment 2 Then we have expanded the user requirements to the query level by
allowing him/her to fire queries on current system.

Increment 3 Finally, we were toughly concentrating for the testing and validation
in modules, we succeeded at the end by imposing them on each other.

The Incremental model encompasses the following activities:

1. System/information engineering and modeling.

– System engineering and analysis encompass requirements gathering at the system level with a
small amount of top-level design and analysis.

– Information engineering encompasses requirements gathering at the strategic business level
and at the business area level.

2. Software requirements analysis.

– The requirements gathering process is intensified and focused specifically on software.

– Software requirement analysis encompasses understanding the information domain for the
software as well as required function, behavior, performance and interfacing. Requirements
for both the system and the software are documented and reviewed with the customer.

3. Design.

– Software design is actually a multi-step process that focuses on four distinct attributes of a
program: data structure, software architecture, interfaces representation and procedural detail.

– The design process translates requirements into a representation of the software that can be
accessed for quality before coding begins.

5.1 Conclusion
It was concluded that this system will provide post the various activity and notice of colleges
which is very helpful to both student and faculty because using this system student can get
notification easily and quickly and faculty can easily share post that save both time and paper.
Using this system student can active and regular according to academic term. And solve theirs
doubt and question using forum facility.

5.2 Future Encasement
Post It Web Application can extended in various ways to provide better interaction between
faculty and students. Following are some features we can add in this web application in future.
? Online Voting facility to take votes of students on different in required situations.
? Placements and training can be added to the application to help students know about
upcoming placements and training opportunity.
? We can provide Class Representative Authority to so they can also post to their respective
class.

2.1 User
Users of the system is describe here. There are two main user in our system one user and
another is admin. And user are classify in two category one is student and second is faculty or
educational person.
2.2 Stakeholders
The stakeholder means the indirect of our project or system is Viewer, Communicating host,
Owner of the organization. This all user interact with the system indirectly. And direct user of our
system is student, faculty, staff etc.

2.4 Story boarding

Happy Story

1) Prof. Mehta is HOD of IT department and wants to announce time table for mid semester
exam so he put it on notice board and every students can see the notice and get to know
about schedule of mid semester. So Prof. Mehta is happy users.

2) Rakesh comes college regularly and see notice board first to know about any new notices.
Rakesh have to see every notice board garneted notice board and department notice
board, so Rakesh do not miss any notice. So Rakesh is happy.

Sad Story
1) Mr. Shah handles student section of the college and he has an announcement about
upcoming scholarship so he puts it on general notice board of admin building. Varun is a
student and has seen the notice and filled the scholarship form. But Vivek was absent
from college so he don’t know about scholarship form and can’t feel the form so Vivek is
sad.

2) Nikunj was absent from college for last days due to some reason so he is totally unaware
of colleges activities, during this is days college collected semester fees. And Nikunj did
not payed the fees on time and Nikunj has to pay late fee so Nikunj is sad.
